Aadhaar Card Status – Enrolment and Update Status
The Aadhaar card is a 12-digit unique identity number issued by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). It is required for banking, government schemes, SIM cards, KYC, and many daily services.
After applying for a new Aadhaar or updating details, checking Aadhaar card status is very important. It helps you know whether your Aadhaar is under process, approved, rejected, or generated.
Types of Aadhaar Status You Can Check
UIDAI allows you to check different Aadhaar-related statuses, depending on your request.
Aadhaar Enrolment Status
This is for new Aadhaar applications. It shows whether:
- Aadhaar is under processing
- Aadhaar is generated
- Aadhaar request is rejected
Once Aadhaar is generated, it becomes active and ready to download.

This is for Aadhaar detail updates like:

- Date of birth
- Biometrics
After submitting an update, you receive a URN (Update Request Number) or EID. Updates usually take 10 to 30 days.
PVC Aadhaar Card Status
If you ordered a PVC Aadhaar card, this status shows:
- Printing stage
- Dispatch stage
- Delivery status
Aadhaar Letter Dispatch Status
This shows whether your physical Aadhaar letter has been dispatched and delivered through India Post.
All Aadhaar status checks are free of cost and completely safe.
