Update Aadhaar Address (Online & Offline)

You can update your address online if your mobile number is linked with Aadhaar.

  • Choose one option:
    • Update address using your own documents
    • Family member–based address update

Update Mobile Number (New Aadhaar App)

UIDAI’s new Aadhaar app allows mobile number update without visiting a centre.

  1. Open the Aadhaar app and sign in (Aadhaar + MPIN/OTP)
  2. Go to Services section
  3. Select Update Mobile Number
  4. Enter new mobile number
  5. Verify OTP sent to new number
  6. Complete face authentication using phone camera
  7. Pay update fee ₹75
  8. Submit request

Processing Time:
Mobile number update usually takes 15–30 days. You will receive SMS updates on your new mobile number.

Biometric Update

Biometric updates are required in these cases:

  • Child enrolled below 5 years (update at age 5 and again at 15)
  • Fingerprint or iris mismatch during authentication
  • Changes due to age, injury, or medical reasons

Biometric Update Process

  1. Visit Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) or authorised enrolment centre
  2. Inform operator about biometric update
  3. Confirm Aadhaar details on screen
